Public Works Service Worker II

Full-time position in the municipal public works department for the City of Anna Maria with full health, dental and retirement benefits.  Outdoor work environment and mechanical skills required.

Essential Functions:

1.  Knowledge of motorized vehicles and equipment
2. Can shift from one job to another according to changing priorities
3. Effective use lawn equipment and con-do small engine maintenance
4. Repair small engines, automotive and light trucks
5. Able to use a computer for data input and analysis
6. Effectively communicate with supervisors and give input to situational changes
7. Fabricate different components or parts for project needs
8. Use power tools and heavy machinery
9. Must be able to accomplish tasks with little input from supervisor or manager
10. Heavy lifting and ladder climbing required

Qualifications:

1. Minimum high school or equivalent graduate
2. Completion of technical schools or training is desirable
3. Must possess a Valid Florida drivers or chauffer’s license
4. May be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
5. Microsoft office Excel and Word proficiency required

Salary:  $35,000 – $43,680 commensurate with Qualifications
