Island Gallery West presents… Featured Artist for March — Sue Elliott

Sue Elliott tells us “the song Wonderful World is one that I often listen to while creating. It makes me happy.” While the world struggles to gain a footing with the pandemic,
we could all use a celebration of found happiness and the appreciation of the beauty around us.

For her exhibit, Sue has created artwork ranging from shorebirds to octopuses — these make her smile and have been wonderful to create.

“I love to paint and experiment with mediums, techniques and subjects. Mixed media best describes my current focus, using acrylic paints, glazes, texture mediums and gold leaf. Not always working with a plan allows me to add and subtract elements of a finished piece, keeping it interesting and original.”
