SUN DEC 24 Two unique celebrations:

4:00 PM CHILDREN’S SERVICE OUTDOORS ON THE WATER. This service features a Nativity Pageant in which all children are invited to participate. This service is especially for families, but everyone is welcome. There will be singing of carols, special music and a message from Pastor Dirk titled “God With Us: Why Christmas Matters!” All children will receive a gift. This event will be held outdoors on the grounds just north of the Roser Church Sanctuary. Park in the Thrift Shop or Fellowship Hall parking areas. It is important to bring your lawn chairs or blankets as chairs are not available. Handicap parking will be available on the far west of the Sanctuary entrance.

6:30 PM CANDLELIGHT CONCERT BY THE ROSER RINGERS HANDBELL CHOIR FOLLOWED BY A TRADITIONAL SERVICE IN THE SANCTUARY.
Each person that attends will receive a candle with a plastic cup to keep the hot wax from dripping on their hands. At the end of the service, during the singing of Silent Night the lights will be turned down and the candles of those on the center aisle will be lit. Those sitting on the aisle will then light the candle of the person next to them and the light will pass through the Sanctuary symbolizing the spreading of the Light of Christ. We will enjoy special music and sing Christmas carols and a message from Pastor Dirk Rodgers titled “God With Us: Why Christmas Matters!“. This service will be broadcast online on the Roser Church YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/RoserChurch).

We take to the streets of beautiful Anna Maria to re-enact the mystery and joy of that Holy Night! The Bethlehem Walk is exciting for people of all ages - from the littlest of angels to the wisest of men, invite your friends and neighbors to join the excitement. we will assemble in front of the Roser Church Sanctuary to begin the journey. Cookies and hot chocolate provided afterwards.

The walk consists of taking the journey to Bethlehem (one block in Anna Maria) with Mary, Joseph and the animals (llama, donkeys, goats and more) in search of shelter. While traveling from "inn" to "inn" we sing Christmas carols. Back at the Church we celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus followed by refreshments and fellowship. Costumes are available in the Fellowship Hall to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis, create your own or just come as you are. Don't forget to bring your flashlight!

DONATIONS OF COOKIES are greatly accepted and can be dropped off in the kitchen marked "Bethlehem Walk".
