“Leading Ladies” is about Jack & Leo, two down-on-their-luck English Shakespearean actors. Learning that a nearby wealthy woman is searching for her sister’s children to include in her will, they decide to pose as those individuals. But when they discover that long-lost “Max” & “Steve” aren’t nephews but nieces, they must continue their plot, now posing as “Maxine” and “Stephanie” for a chance at the multi-million dollar inheritance.
The cast, Directed by Kelly Wynn Woodland and assisted by Stage Manager, Denise Handley, includes 5 actors new to the Island Player’s stage; Caitlin Spain-Phipps as Meg, Andrew Allen as Leo, Mikey Lynch as Jack, Sarah De Young as Audrey and Philip Troyer as Butch. Play-goers will recognize the remaining 3 actors who often superbly grace our stage; Mark Woodland as Duncan, Laura Morales as Florence and Rick Kopp as Doc.
