Meet local author, J.B. Crawford at JOY

Everyone is invited to JOY (Just Older Youth) at 11:30 AM in the Roser Church Fellowship Hall. We welcome local author, J.B. Crawford, who has written a series of children’s books about life in a fishing community he named DeSoto Village, patterned after Cortez where he was raised. He started writing his stories, one for each of his nine grandchildren, as a legacy of his life in the fishing village and its history. Titles include “Nathan and the Stone Crabs,” “Arianna and the Spanish Mackerel,” “Elof and the Red Grouper.” He will bring copies of his books for purchase. A portion of profit will be given to JOY’s mission, Bring on the Ministry. Come with a bag lunch and look for good reading gifts for your own grands!

JOY (Just Older Youth) meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 11:30 AM. Bring a bag lunch. Beverage and treats will be served. We meet at Roser Church in Fellowship Hall. Guys and dolls, both – are welcomed! Roser Church is located at 512 Pine Avenue, Anna Maria, near the City Pier. The Fellowship Hall is the entrance east of the Roser Memorial Chapel, closest to the Anna Maria City Pier.
