The Island Players is Manatee County’s oldest community theatre, bringing live performances to Anna Maria Island since 1949. Now celebrating our 77th season, we stage five full productions each year from September through May in our cozy Gulf Drive playhouse.
From laugh-out-loud comedies to moving dramas, each show is brought to life by a talented cast, creative directors, and a dedicated crew of local volunteers. Our intimate, 141-seat theatre makes every performance a personal experience, and the warm atmosphere ensures that whether you’re a regular or a first-time guest, you’ll feel like part of the family.
